Welcome to my Kinder Capers Blog

 Kinder Capers

Welcome to my new blog! This is my 12th year teaching Kindergarten. Kindergarten has always been my favorite grade! I wanted to catch the little ones early and instill a love of learning while they still had that natural curiosity. This blog is where I plan to share thoughts, ideas and some funny things that happen with my KinderBots at school. I started calling the class KinderBots when they got hooked on StoryBots learning videos. I'll start by sharing a few pictures from last year to give you a glimpse into the type of fun we have while learning.

Colonial Times

These were taken at Early Works Museum. We were studying about Then and Now, learning how things have changed over time in our country. The girls loved the bonnets and aprons!
After this we visited the General Store. What a difference 100 years makes!

This was the day that The Cat came to play. We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with an author study. The Cat in the Hat came to read to us and he brought a couple of Things with him!
After reading stories, Thing 1 and Thing 2 painted all of our faces with whiskers like their friend, The Cat! Thing 1 and Thing 2 had a few crazy capers up their sleeves too! We are making memories that will last a lifetime! The KinderBots all wanted the Cat to read their favorite Dr. Seuss Book.

The Cat and Things 1 and 2 brought literature to life that day!
