Syllable Challenge
Syllable Challenge!
Hickelty Pickelty Bumblebee, who can clap syllables with me?
Students worked hard on listening for and clapping the syllables in their names
and many other words. Then to check for accuracy, we did the syllable challenge
and to show Mrs. Smith how much we learned!

Michael Finklea (author) visits for a book signing day!
The kids had a great time buying books and waiting in
line for author, Michael Finklea, to speak with them and
sign their books! It was very inspiring!
Stack, Tell, Spin & Win!
"One, Two, Three, Stack!" Then tell. Now Spin. I Win!"
We have learned to compare numbers to see which set is greater and which is less. The kids use the telling cards to show who has "more" and who has "less." Then they spin the More/Less spinner. It isn't always good to have more. They love this game!

Mustache Day!
In honor of Mr. M, we donned our best fur faces for Mustache Day! It was a lot of fun seeing the kiddos come to school in disguise! They had the best time. I keep my liquid eyeliner at school in case anyone is too embarrassed to leave home with a mustache. Once they get to school and see how much fun it is, I take out my mustache paint and put it on the few shy ones! What fun! Mr. M was especially happy!
